Karate Tournament

Protocol

1. All Competitors are required to wear their uniform top with patches installed properly.

2. If there is a misunderstanding or a problem, see the tournament coordinator.  Avoid disturbing the judges so they can focus on the safety of the competitors.  All problems will be addressed respectfully.  Those who act with respect will be treated with respect.

3. There is no coaching from the sidelines. 

4.  This is a friendly event among the AKKA organization.  Any inappropriate behavior will result in being asked to leave.  Adults need to set a good example for all the children.

5. Be informed.  Review all the event rules to avoid misunderstandings.
Every reasonable measure is taken to insure a fair and enjoyable event.

6. There is no smoking anywhere on school grounds.

7. There is no unpaid spectating from the lobby area.

8. Arrive on time.  The event starts promptly as stated.

9. Have all required gear prepared the night before.

10. Listen carefully to all announcements.  Ex: If a competitor is missing from a division, their name will be called 3 times.

11. Spectators are asked to remain in the bleachers and behind the caution tape.

12. Photos and videos are allowed so long as it does not distract the competitors and/or judges.

13. Parents are responsible for the behavior of their younger children during the event.
